Today, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Khari Thomas, our expert Chemical Technician, who is celebrating an impressive 10 years with the Jenkins Landscape family!
Jenkins Landscape Employee Spotlight: The “Landscape Doctor”
As a Chemical Technician, Khari plays a vital role in keeping our clients’ properties lush, green, and healthy. It is a job that requires a keen eye for detail and deep knowledge of Florida horticulture.
When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Khari’s answer highlights exactly why he is so good at what he does: “Treating a problem and seeing the results.” There is nothing quite like identifying a pest or disease issue, applying the right solution, and watching a landscape return to full health.
Hard Work is the Best Workout
While many people might shy away from the most physically demanding days, Khari embraces them. When asked about his favorite project type, he didn’t pick the easiest task—he picked aerating and top dressing.
Why? “Because it’s a good workout,” he says. That positive attitude toward hard work is exactly what makes Khari a leader in the field.
Off the Clock
When he isn’t keeping lawns green or getting a workout in on the job site, Khari enjoys relaxing with word search puzzles.
He also seems to have discovered the fountain of youth during his time outdoors. One thing most people don’t know about him is his age. Khari says he constantly gets mistaken for being much younger than he actually is—perhaps a side effect of staying active and happy in his career!

With a decade of experience under his belt, Khari has seen it all. We asked him what advice he would give to a new team member joining Jenkins Landscape today. His answer is a reminder that patience and curiosity are key to success:
“Don’t be discouraged or afraid to ask questions. Take your time and everything will fall into place.”
